Joining a gym is exciting, but it can also feel like a big step. You may wonder where to start, what to do first, and how to build a routine that lasts.
Day 1: Get familiar with your club
Take a tour, meet the team, and learn where everything is: locker rooms, cardio, strength equipment, class studios, Kids Club if available, and recovery amenities.
Week 1: Keep it simple
Focus on showing up. Try light cardio, basic machines, stretching, a beginner class, or a short full-body circuit.
Week 2: Build a basic routine
A simple schedule might include one strength workout, one cardio or class day, and one flexible day for recovery or another workout.
Week 3: Try something new
Explore a class, personal training, The SQUAD, body composition scans, or recovery amenities where available.
Week 4: Review your progress
Look at what worked, what felt confusing, and what goal you want to set for month two.
